How’s your school holidays going?
Do you need some help with activities to get you through the next couple weeks?
Whether you love school holidays or not, everybody could use some new play ideas now and then!
I’ve done the research to help you out - hope the kids love it!!
25+ SCHOOL HOLIDAYS ACTIVITIES:
- Build a hut (Either inside or outside)
- Get busy in the kitchen (do some baking, decorate pizzas, ice biscuits, make fruit kebabs, homemade popcorn)
- Make an obstacle course inside using cushions, pillows, boxes, chairs or blankets
- Make an obstacle course outside using stones, wooden planks, buckets, balls, rope, net
- Re-organise the children’s bedrooms
- Write a letter to someone
- Make a kite
- Have a picnic
- Plant a veggie garden
- Put up a tent
- Have a treasure hunt
- Create a family artwork on a large canvas
- Colouring-in
- Teach the kids to knit (or sew!!)
- Visit a library or museum
- Go to the park or playground
- Go fruit picking
- Go for a bushwalk
- Have a friend over
- Feed ducks at the park
- Go bike riding in a new place
- Go fishing
- Have a movie night
- Go on a nature hunt
- Go swimming in the lake or river or sea
- Go to the biggest sandpit and visit your local beach
That should keep you busy for awhile!
